Reworking websites for the future of getting found.

We rebuild websites so they are optimised for getting found in AI searches. No code soup, just lean, fast and optimised websites.

Your website probably needs more than a redesign.

If you want your business website to get cited in AI searches from apps like ChatGPT, it has to be built for these new types of search.

Your business website now has to be built for humans and machines.

What you used to do on your business website for organic search does not work for AI recommendations.

The search landscape has changed, so we help businesses rethink their websites for the future of being found and recommended by AI.

Here’s what we do:

  • We rebuild your site on a new WordPress theme that’s optimised for AI crawlers and organic crawlers – the two are very different, so this has to be done properly
  • We optimise your content for citations – AI wants facts, not marketing copy, and how you arrange this on your site makes a huge difference
  • AI does not see your site as humans do, so if you are going to get recommended in AI, your site is going to need to be designed around this
  • We help you re-think your content around what AI wants – those broad services pages on your current site – old hat – AI wants facts and proof
  • We make your site fast – not in terms of Google Page Speed, in terms of AI crawls – AI search is expensive, so it has a lot less time to get what it needs from your site
  • We structure your site correctly – headings, content flow, clean code – everything AI loves

How to tell if your site needs a rebuild.

Not every site needs to be thrown away.

But in our experience, most sites that come in for a redesign have one or more of the following problems that a new look will not fix.

  • It was built on a page builder – Elementor, Divi, WPBakery and similar tools produce bloated, slow, hard-to-maintain code. You cannot redesign your way out of that.
  • It scores poorly on page speed tests – scores in the 30s or 40s out of 100 are a structural problem, not a design one. We have rebuilt page-builder sites and seen scores jump to the high 90s.
  • It is not ranking in search – if the underlying code is messy and the site is slow, no SEO work will get you where you need to be.
  • AI tools cannot read it properly – poorly structured HTML and missing semantic markup means AI search systems skip over your content.
  • Your developer said things are not possible – this almost always means the theme will not allow it, not that WordPress cannot do it.
  • It gets harder to update every year – page-builder sites accumulate technical debt. The bigger they get, the worse this problem becomes.

Our main focus is rebuilding sites built on page-builders like Elementor.

If you have a site that uses a page builder like Elementor, Divi, WP Bakery, or something similar, it’s going to render code soup. This means 1000s of lines of code, JavaScript, and CSS that AI has to try and wade through before it can actually read any of your content.

If you want to get recommended by AI, your code has to be lean.

Frequently asked questions about rebuilding websites to perform better in AI searches

Do we need to change the design?

If you are happy with how your site looks, but not how it performs, the design can stay the same – we’ll recreate it and optimise it. There is a small caveat here about how your content is arranged – if it’s all overdesigned, we will probably recommend a tweak to improve it.

Will my current rankings be maintained?

Yes – we are very careful about how we approach this. Generally, we retain existing URL structures to avoid redirects, and we sense-check everything before we do it. As organic rankings can influence AI recommendations, we tread carefully.

My site is built on a page builder, does that have to go?

Yes – we’ll remove that and rebuild all your content blocks, custom and optimised. Page-builders create too much code soup that AI does not like. It’s best to get rid of the page builder, as they are not great.

Will I still be able to manage my content on the new website?

Yes, but that depends on what you mean by managing content – if you mean editing all the text, adding new content, building new pages – 100% yes. If you mean endless tinkering with the design, then no – the design is managed within the CSS files, where it should be done. AI does not see your design.

What if I want to edit the content?

No problem, but we build the site with the existing content first – the objective here is to build the site so it’s optimised for AI, then, and only then, so we look at the content on the site. For us, this is as important as the design and build, as it’s the content that gets you recommended in AI chats.

I have existing functions – can we retain these?

Yes – whatever works on your current site will work on the new one – whether it’s plugin-powered or bespoke code. If we find plugins that can be replaced with more efficient code, we’ll do that to improve the site.

Do you work with WooCommerce?

No – we don’t rebuild WooCommerce sites – we work best with businesses that sell services to other businesses. If your website is a store, we’re not a good fit, but if it just sells a few things, we can work with that.

Does Toast use AI to build sites?

We use AI to generate code that would otherwise burn your budget – this allows us to be more efficient and cost-effective. All styling is done by hand as we love perfecting CSS.

How long does the process take?

We are going to do this properly, so the short answer is that the larger your current site is, the longer it will take – anywhere from 2–4 months. This timescale also depends on our workload, the site’s complexity, and your availability.

What a redesign and rebuild actually involves.

When we take on a redesign project, we look at the whole thing. Not just the visuals.

We start by auditing what you have – the code, the speed, the structure, the content, and how search engines and AI tools currently read the site. That tells us what needs to change and why.

From there, we build a new bespoke WordPress theme from scratch. Clean code, no page builder dependencies, no bloat. The design is built to match your brand and convert your visitors, not to win awards.

We migrate your existing content, redirect your old URLs so you do not lose any search ranking you have already earned, and set the new site up on proper managed WordPress hosting before it goes live.

The result is a site that looks better, loads faster, ranks better, and will not need replacing again in two years.

Why a new coat of paint is not enough.

We see this regularly. A business spends money getting their existing site reskinned – new colours, new fonts, new images.

It looks better. But six months later, it is still not ranking, still slow, still generating no enquiries.

That is because the problems were never visual in the first place.

Page builders like Elementor output code that is so bloated and poorly structured that search engines struggle to make sense of it. A Google PageSpeed score in the 30s is not a tweak – it is a structural failure. No designer can fix that by changing a font.

If your site has fundamental technical problems, fixing the design is the last thing you should be spending money on. Fix the foundation first.

What happens to your existing content and SEO?

One of the most common concerns we hear is: if we rebuild the site, will we lose our Google rankings?

It is a fair question, and the honest answer is: only if the rebuild is done badly.

We audit all of your existing URLs before we start. Any page that has earned search ranking gets a permanent redirect from the old address to the new one. Google follows those redirects and transfers the ranking credit. Your content is migrated intact. Your metadata is reviewed and improved as part of the process.

Done properly, a rebuild does not cost you your rankings. In most cases it improves them, because the new site gives search engines a cleaner, faster, better-structured site to work with.

When a redesign alone is the right answer.

We will always be straight with you.

If your site is already on a solid bespoke build, scores well on page speed, and the only real problem is that it looks dated, then a redesign without a full rebuild can be the right call.

In that case, we work with your existing codebase, update the design, refresh the content structure, and get it looking the part without the cost and upheaval of starting from scratch.

But we will only tell you that after we have looked at what you have. We will not recommend a partial fix on a site that needs a full one.

Let us take a look at what you have got.

Send us your URL, and we will give you an honest assessment.

What is working, what is not, and what we would recommend. No sales pitch, no obligation.

If a rebuild makes sense, we will tell you what it involves and what it costs. If it does not, we will tell you that too.

Get in touch and let us have a look.
